Reiki for Cancer Patient Support @Gentle Dove Wellness

Reiki practitioners frequently recommend receiving Reiki sessions before, during, and after cancer surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation treatments, as anecdotal evidence suggests these sessions may alleviate pain, enhance the body's recovery process, and, in many cases, diminish adverse side effects of various treatments.   

This statement is based on our professional observations over the past ten years, derived from working with clients to provide Reiki sessions to support them as they undergo active cancer treatment, as well as on the feedback from our clients regarding their experience with Reiki. 

How does Reiki help?

Some theorized that the vibrational frequency of Reiki energy can create resonance within the human psyche and physical body, lowering stress levels and allowing the body to switch from the "fight or flight" mode to the "rest & digest" mode.  When this happens, the body's innate ability to self-heal is "turned back on," allowing the repair of the damage.
